BQ27411-G1: SOC is not coming proper

Part Number: BQ27411-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Hello Sir

We have used BQ27411DRZT-G1A  Fuel gauge with a Lithium polymer battery
With EV2300 we are connecting to IC for testing
We have updated the attached file to data memory and we are getting SOC as 100%

Please guide us if any parameter is set wrong
The battery used is Lithium polymer battery 3000mAH Chemistry is LiCoO2

Thanks
Atharv

  • Hello Atharv,

The BQ274110G1 is a ROM based gauge, you should make sure the default chem ID that is programmed will work for your system by checking with the GPCCHEM tool.

The taper rate and taper voltage should both match your application, along with the terminate voltage.

Also the thresholds for state changes should be configured if needed to better match your application, Quit Current, Dsg Relax Time, and Chg Relax Time.

We cannot help you determine if a parameter is wrong since they can vary between different applications and system needs. If you encounter an issue with gauging we can help determine which parameters may be root cause if you share the .gg file and log files.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
