For one of my battery operated application board i am planning to use the LMR51420. specifications are ;
input voltage :4.75 V to 20V
Output Voltage : 4V
Output current : 1A
Max operating temperature : 60 degree C.
As i have calculated
Pd = (Tj-TA)/RθJA , which is Pd = (125-60)/107.8 = 0.629 W.
and
Actual power dissipation = I2 Rds(on) = 1ˆ2 * (0.12 + 0.07) = 0.19W.
It looks fine per my calculation.
please suggest.
