I made a boost rectifier with UCC2818A-Q1, Vout 385V, 1kW.
Actually the IC is supplied with 12V from the external but I would like to supply it from mains as in the datasheet Figure 1 (pag.11).
I tried to made some auxiliary windings on the boost inductor but the result is not good.
Boost inductor: iron power core, inductance about 700uH, 167 turns, aux winding 6 turns --> I obtain about 15V when the PFC is no loaded and about 65V when it is loaded.
I tried many turn ratios but the difference between the loaded and unloaded cases is always big.
