UCC256304: About the benifit of slope detector block mapping.

Hi Ti,
Here have a question about UCC256304's slope detector block, UCC256304 is designed for LLC topology,
and include a adaptive dead time detetor to determine the ZVS condition by detecting HS pin slew rate, figure as below.

and NCP13992 developed from on-semi, and also determine ZVS condition by same way, but detect by different pin, figure as below.

The question is as TI design, is there have any benifit about mapping "adaptive dead time detetor" on HS pin instead of HB pin?

Hi Vivian,

First of all we recommend using our latest generation LLC generation controller UCC25640x which has much improved features compared to UCC25630x.

Slew rate can be detected on both HB and HS pins. There should not be any difference in their performance.
