BQ25125: Device waking up from ship mode even with short button press also.

Hi,

I am trying to implement shipment mode in BQ25125. 

The requirement is to wakeup on either 10sec Button hold or charger connection.

The configuration in Push button register is 01110100

But, the device is waking from shipment mode even for single short button press also.

Please let me know if there is any other configuration I need to be aware of that's causing this issue.

    Hi Revanth,

    Ship Mode latches off the device and BAT FET until VIN > VBAT + VSLP or the MR button is depressed for tWAKE1 and released. Based on your register setting, tWAKE1 is set to 600ms. Therefore, the device exit ship mode after a short button press.

    HI Jing Zou,

    Can you please suggest the configuration for Push Button register for 10 Sec Wakeup. For Wake 1 we see 80ms and 600ms for configuration. We gave 80ms configuration for Wake 1. For T_reset,(B4,B3 -> 1,0) we gave 11sec but The device is not going to ship mode for 11sec button hold also.

    Hi Revanth,

    Since the Push Button Wakeup is based on the WAKE1 and WAKE2 functions, the push button cannot be configured to a 10 Second Wakeup. There is only a 10 Second Reset which could enter the device into ship mode, but not exit. 

    You mentioned that the devices is not going into ship mode for 11 second hold. In order to enter ship mode VIN must be low, /CD must be high, and /MR must be high (Push button Released). Additionally, MRREC is cleared. Can you confirm these circumstances?
