TPS62810-Q1: Can we disable TPS6281020QWRWYRQ1 SSC function?

Hi team,

Customer is considering change from TPS62810QWRWYRQ1 to TPS6281020QWRWYRQ1 due to supply consideration. Just would like to confirm TPS6281020 spread spectrum is default enabled and cannot be disabled? Customer worries of additional EMI test effort

    Hi Scarlett,

    Yes, Spread spectrum is enable internally for device and can not be disable externally. However, SSC feature normally help to spread the peak to wider frequency band which help in EMI. I don't think there would be any critical EMI behavior.
