Hello Ti team,

in my design, i use two TPS62871-Q1 in stacked mode to achieve max 18A current . my question is does the two power rails draw the same current(or nearly the same current ） at -40~85℃？

i'm afraid one draw more current , for example the load current is 14A, one TPS62871-Q1 draw 9A and another draw only 5A . please confirm , many thanks

Hi,

Please use both device with same current limit mean use both device that can support up to 6A (TPS62871-Q1).

Both devices will draw the equivalent/nearly similar current. We have tested the configuration.

yes we use the same current limit device .

did you test at -40℃，25℃，85℃ and still draw the equivalent/nearly similar current ?

by the way, there is a small mistake of your reply ,TPS62871-Q1 is 9A, not 6A.

Hi ,

That is correct. We expect some tol like ~10% on current variation in worse case condition. It is okay to use it on higher temp. I don't expect the drastic variation as you mentioned before.

Please follow all instruction on datasheet for layout and external components selection.
