TPS544C25: TON_DEALY Programming

Hello, I am setting TON_DELAY for TPS544C25 in TI's Fusion Digital Power Designer in online mode and I see that is reflected when the board is on. However, once the board is power cycled, TON_DELAY reverts to old values for all rails. Is there a reason for this? And what is the best programming flow to ensure that all parameters are stored in the NVM? Thanks in advance.

Hello Talal,

that parameter is and NVM parameter. The device does not save the settings programmed into this non-volatile memory.

So how can I program TON_DELAY and have it persist after a power cycle using Fusion Digital Power Designer?

Hey Talal,

You would need to use the STORE_DEFAULT_ALL (11h) command.

Thanks for the info. What about programming the rise time? I set the rise time to 1ms but that does not persist after a power cycle.

The intended TON_RISE is 1ms but it reverts back to 7ms.

Hey Talal,

TON_RISE is also programmable using the STORE_DEFAULT_ALL command. Please make sure that you are inputting a valid value when setting the register. More information can be found in section 8.6.30 of the datasheet.
