LM34919C-Q1: Tying EN directly to Vin

Part Number: LM34919C-Q1

Team,

In the LM34919C documentation I see that we have a enable resistor between Vin and EN:

My customer's layout currently doesn't have this resistor and has EN tied directly to Vin. Can you confirm if this is okay and not having this resistor won't damage the EN pin or something?

Max input voltage on this during load dump would be 36V

Best,

David

  • Hi David,

Tying Vin to the EN pin should be ok. The absolute maximum ratings shown on page 2 of the datasheet state that the EN pin is rated for 65V.

Also, the Enable section found on page 14 of the datasheet states that EN can be tied to Vin.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Ridge Lahti
