Hi Experts,

Good day.

Can you help me select recommended charge pump device that can output -5V with 5V input?

I am seeing TL7660IDR, can this be used on this conversion? In page no.5 of datasheet output voltage vs load current graph, for input 5V and output -5V he supplies 0A of current.

If not, can you recommend? 100mA output is fine.

Thanks for responding, Stefan.

Can you confirm up to how much current is required for TL7660 with 5V/-5V conversion? Also, TIDA-01423 is up to 4.5Vin only.

HI Archie,

are you asking for the supply current for the TL7660 or for the output current.

The output current is shown in the datasheet page 5 - (output voltage vs output current)

The supply current you can also find in the datasheet: Electrical Characteristics

To clarify, so, for 0A output current, the device is applicable on such application (5Vin, -5Vout)?

Also, as an alternative, is the TPS60402QDBVRQ1 can work?

Hi Archie,

yes, for small currents the TL7660 could be used.,

The TPS60402QDBVRQ1 seems to be able to drive 60mA with an output voltage of 4.5V

But i am not the expert on this device. You might open a new thread asking for that device so that it gets routed to the right team.

Hello Stefan,

Can you help us again? I am having hard time choosing other same part that can output up to 20mA with regulated -5Vout (at 5Vin).

Is there such device? Couldn't find any from portfolio or I am missing?
