Hi,

The terminals OUT1 to OUT8 are used to operate the LCD panel with an amplitude of 15 V and 60 Hz.

Therefore, I will attach the output voltage and current waveform of the OUT terminal in the worst case.
Could you tell me if there is a problem with the current capacity of the OUT terminal?

According to the D/S, the continuous output current is 30mA typ, but the LCD panel is instantaneously
charged and discharged with a current of 60mA.

Hi Hiroshi,

The 30mA mentioned on datasheet is the continuous output current. I need to check if we have test data about inrush current spec.

Please allow me some time and I'll give you feedback on next Monday or Tuesday.

Hi Hiroshi-san,

Unfortunately we don't have test data with inrush current. Did customer find any issue during test and how many boards have they tested?

On datasheet the "continuous output current" notes that "observe maximum power dissipation", so I think the current limit is more related to thermal protection. Therefore, inrush current occurs during charge and discharge might not have such risks.

Sorry for the late reply.
Looking at the data sheet again, I thought that the explanation on P20 "OUTPUT PROTECTION" and Figures 1 and 2 were the answer to the customer's question. I think that the customer is evaluating again, but I think that there is probably no problem.
