TPS51397A: Efficiency in Vin19V Vout 1V/10A

Hi,

Does TI have better efficiency buck converter for Vin19V Vout 1V/10A?

I have test TPS51397A EVM only ~77% efficiency.

I have found LM61495 and TPS51362 can support this in/out application, seems TPS51362 is better than TPS51397A, or do you have better suggestion?

    Hi Jeff,

    Do you have the efficiency target? Like above 80% at 19Vin/1Vout/10A?

    You may use a lower DCR inductor to increased the efficiency percent.

    TPS51362 is a good choice. Sorry I don't have the data that compare two parts efficiencies at same BOM and same operation conditions. 

    LM61495 doesn't belongs to our product line. If you have the efficiency target, you may create a new thread to ask for the corresponding AE whether LM61495 can meet.
