TPS61060: Bringing Vin to a separate voltage source

Part Number: TPS61060
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61061, LM3410,

The TPS61061/0 series of boost LED drivers has a maximum rated input voltage of 6 volts.  When using a 2S lithium ion source (8.4 volts charging - 7.4 volts nominal) this max voltage (7.0 volts max) is exceeded.  Can the TPS61061/0 be provided 3.3 volts on the logic-in Vin pin while supplying the inductor (and boost circuitry) with a source of 8.4 volts?

Thank you.
