TLV707: Reverse current protection

Hello support team,

Customer ask if TLV707 has internal Reverse current protection between VIN and VOUT, because of abs max VOUT spec on datasheet. I assume that TLV707 has no reverse current protection, because internal block diagram shows internal parasitic diode. Is this TYPO?

Customer point out that TLV707 should use description like TPS7A20 if TYPO. Or does TLV707 have any specific reason for the description?

    Hi Ikeda-san,

    TLV707 does not have internal reverse current protection, so a VOUT max similar to the TPS7A20 would be appropriate. I don't know why it was listed this way, but if I had to guess I would think that it is because TLV707 was released in 2011 and the specifications are always improving to be more clearly defined. I'll make a note to update it.
