LM3409: LED Driver with High current capacity (> 5A)

Could you please let me conform one last point?

 I understood the current can be definitely higher than 5A with LM3409. I actually found some examples of operations over 5A with LM3409 in other E2E articles.

So what is the reason why the LM3409 datasheet says "up to 5A"? It looks like they have 5A as a kind of limit. What was the background behind this maximum current value of 5A?

Actually I can only give my understanding on this. 5A is a quite safe operation point and users do no need to pay much attention on other parameters like inductor, frequency. Normally TI will have reference design to guide for higher current operation for these controller devices.

Sorry I did not find high current application for LM3409. But there is a device TPS92641 that has the same 1A peak current Mosfet drive. It has a reference design for 10A application.
