Hi Team,

Good day. I am posting this inquiry on behalf of the customer.

"I need some support with TLC5957

I have used it to control UV LEDs in my design where the microcontroller is ESP32.

But I am finding it a bit difficult to get the firmware done.

Do you have a reference design or sample firmware examples built for this IC?

1) What are the minimum pins that need to be connected to get only the on/off function of monochrome LEDs, No color function, using all channels for individual LEDs.

Once this is answered, I'll continue with my other questions."

Hi Marvin,

1. For sample code, please check this E2E thread: TLC5957: TLC5957 sample code in c - Power management forum - Power management - TI E2E support forums

2. To make the device function well, every pin of the TLC5957 needs to be connected. (The SOUT pin of the last TLC5957 in a daisy chain can be left unconnected if you do not need to read back data).

3. BTW, for simple on/off application, TLC5954 is more suitable.
