LM5170: current regulation

Part Number: LM5170

Let me reformulate my question, I'm using the LM5170 for a bidirectional dc-dc current controller and I'm trying to define the optimal current regulation method for my application. Is a command signal (PWM signal) generated by the MCU to the ISETD pin enough to regulate the output current of the converter or is there an additional circuitry that can be implemented to regulate this output current?
