BQ24295: Current limiting resistor

Part Number: BQ24295

Hi,

I am using BQ24285 IC in my design. I want to limit my current to 500mA. I find there is a formula for finding current limiting resistor. [Formula: IINMAX = (1V/RILIM) × KILIM.] The value of KILIM is given as 395 to 475 A ohm. What value of KILIM I need to choose to set input current limit to 500mA. Is my approach for limiting current is correct? If not tell me the correct way. Thanks in Advance.
