UCC27322: Looking for line drivers

Part Number: UCC27322
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27614, LM5112

Hi Experts,

Could you propose a driver to send pulses from FPGA (3V3) to cable with a 50 Ohm load?

I found some line drivers, for example, UCC27322, but I'm not sure that this is the optimal component for a task.

Cable capasitance   up to 1nF

Single pulses length  500ns

Pulse amplitude     2.4V...5V   (the load 1nF, 50 Ohm)

rise time & fall time    <=50ns (the load 1nF, 50 Ohm)

Driver's V input high       <= 3,3V (FPGA output)

Driver's Vcc - preferably 3V3 or 5V

Channels 1 (maybe 2)

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Jonathan

  • Hi Jonathan,

UCC27322 and its family, as well as UCC27614, are our best drivers for this application as far as I am aware. Is there an issue you see with these at this point? I think there are quite a few drivers that can meet these requirements. For example, if you mean to pull from 2.4V to 5V, a driver like LM5112 may be better.

If you have any concerns about these suggestions, please let me know and I can try to find a better option/workaround.

    Thanks,

    Alex M.
