TPS25860-Q1: Disabling port

Part Number: TPS25860-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25854-Q1, TPS25862-Q1

Hi Team,

I would like to know if it is possible to use Type C only and disable Type A? does disable port B by pulling PB_EN low work? This part is designed for dual ports andIo only require one. what happens if you don't connect the second port? Are there problems here or can this be left open/disabled?

Thanks!

Regards,

Marvin

  • Hi Marvin,

Good day. You should mean that the TPS25862-Q1, right? The TPS25862-Q1 has the PB_EN to disable the PB_VBUS, if you don't need to use the PORT B, you can pull PB_EN down to disable it, and there will be not any problem, or you can use the single Type C port device:TPS25854-Q1. Thank you.

    Best Regards,
