BQ51003: FOD Resistor Tolerance

Hi team,

is there anything wrong with using a FOD resistor (RFOD) with a 5% tolerance?
Customer currently use 1% tolerance resistors. What would be the change if we replaced it with a 5% resistor?

Hi Hayashi

The FOD resistor (RFOD) is very sensitive and a change from 1% to 5% could cause performance problems with the FOD detection.

Is the unit Qi certified?

Yes, the unit require Qi certified. Same customer as I discussed offline.

Recommend keeping using 1% for this application.
