TPS768-Q1: TPS76801QPWPRQ1 vs TPS76801QPWPRG4Q1

Part Number: TPS768-Q1

Hello Team,

can you clarify the difference between the TPS76801QPWPRQ1 and TPS76801QPWPRG4Q1 .

The datasheet does not say anything on that, nor there is an info on the ordering table, such as G4 same as not G4.

Typically the G4 was for the first RoHS variants so I'm assuming the two parts being identical and can be used interchangeably.

  • Can you confirm?

While the TPS768-Q1 has only one package available, the datasheet show two thermal pads (page 26 and page 28).

  • What is the actual thermal pads?

thanks,

SunSet

  • Hi,

Both devices use the same die, therefore, they have the same electrical characteristics.

You are correct, the G4 denomination was introduced for the first RoHS variations, and they can be used interchangeably.

In regards the thermal pads, you mean page 25 and 27, since 28 is just the "IMPORTANT NOTICE AND DISCLAIMER" page. If so, then there is a note on page 27:

I recommend using the files provided in our Product Page in conjunction with the Land Pattern page 24:
