TPS1HB16-Q1: ILIM Floating - what does SNS report?

Hi Team - customer question below:

If the ILIM pin is left open, the device will switch to it’s internal current limit. Previous analysis also stated that a fault indication on the SNS pin would be set in this scenario but I couldn’t find anything in the datasheet or pin FMA documents backing this up.

Can you please confirm this for us: If the ILIM pin is left open, does the SNS pin report a fault?

    If the ILIM pin is left open/floating, the device defaults to the internal current limit (see the ICL parameter in the datasheet). The SNS pin will not report a fault unless the current limit is engaged, there is a thermal fault, or there is an open load/short-to-battery:
