TLVM13630: CISPR 32 and CISPR 22 Class B

Part Number: TLVM13630
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLVM13620,

Hi Team,

the TLVM13620 should as per DS comply with CISPR 32 class B emission, is this only for radiated emissions? and for conducted emissions it still needs an LC filter on input?

Because when i load the TLVM13630 design in Webench and try to add the EMI filter and select for CISPR 22 class B it doesn't meet the standard, it is above limits so LC is needed to pass CISPR 32 class B conducted emission ?

  • Hello d.zero,

Thank you for posting.  You are right that you may need to add an input EMI filter to attenuate the conducted emission.  The IC was designed to help minimize the radiated emission in the recommended layout pattern.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Regards,

    Youhao
