BQ24610: BQ24610 Minimum Recommended Operating Temperature

Hello,

The minimum recommended operating junction temperature for the BQ24610 Is 0C, but the ABS max is -40. I'd like to understand the implications of operating the IC in environments below 0C. What features are at risk? Does this pose a MTBF risk or part life accelerator risk?

    Hello,

    Please see the standard language of the datasheet:

    "Stresses beyond those listed under Absolute Maximum Ratings may cause permanent damage to the device. These are stress ratings only, and functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under Recommended Operating Conditions is not implied. Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability."
