UCC27524A1-Q1: Driver voltage drop problem

Part Number: UCC27524A1-Q1

Hi

The customer uses this driver, and there is a waveform jitter in the driving voltage. The control signal is a 50% duty cycle square wave of 160KHz. Please refer to the attached MOS transistor data manual。Infineon-IPW65R050CFD7A-DataSheet-v02_01-EN.pdf

  • Hi Sam,

Could you elaborate on which signal is which? By driving voltage do you mean the OUTA/OUTB of the driver? This FET is a very large one, can you confirm what the bypass capacitance on VDD is?

Larger Qg FETs will require more CVDD capacitance to avoid drooping/voltage drops. Can you check this value with the customer?

    Thanks,

    Alex M.
