PTH08T210W: About auto reset time

Part Number: PTH08T210W

I use DAC control VoAdj and MCU control inhibit pin. When control system <DAC and MCU> shutdown and Vin keep power-up, I saw Inhibit control signal auto restet from low to high in 300ms.I'd like know if PTH08T210W auto reset in 300ms is normal reaction.

  • Hello,

The inhibit pin will automatically pull high whenever it is not tied to a low voltage (ground). When the MCU shuts down, is it pulling the inhibit pin directly to ground? Is there a feature of the MCU that creates an open circuit on the inhibit pin after 300ms?

    Best regards,

    Britton

  • Hi Britton,

The MCU be shutdowned due to power went off suddenly. At that time, inhibit and VoAdj become open circuit.

I just want to know if 300ms is nominal when inhibit pull "HIGH" automatically  from reset active.

If you still cannot get me, I can show you scope picture. Please give me email address, thx.

  • Sam,

The INH voltage is pulled high internally as soon as it becomes open-circuit, not after 300ms. Likewise, if the INH pin becomes open circuit when a sufficient VIN signal is applied to the device, then the soft-start sequence will initiate immediately.
