TPS6594-Q1: Cant generate program in Scalable PMIC GUI

Dear PMIC team

Since some days my customer facing issues with the Online GUI (3.0.0) to flash the PMICs. They can not see the section generate program, as normally.

 

 

Any idea if it was changed?

  • Hi Dierk,

    The GUI has not changed. This seems to be an issue with the page layout on the screen. You may be able to see the Generate Program button if you do any of the following:

    • Resize the window
    • Collapse the sidebar to the right
    • Move the window to a screen with a lower resolution

    customer could not resolve this for the web version and moved to the local installation version and does not see this issue there

    I am glad the customer was able to use the local installation version of the GUI without this issue. I am working on reporting this through the proper channels so it can be fixed on the web version and documented.

    I was able to replicate the issue the customer is seeing again, and noticed the GENERATE PROGRAM button is hidden when the browser is zoomed out. Looking at the original image, the magnifying glass in the search bar shows the page is zoomed out. One option I hadn't mentioned previously that uncovered the button on my setup was to reset the zoom in the browser with CTRL+0.

    Additionally, the red information symbol above the export button moves with the GENERATE PROGRAM button and not the EXPORT button. Since the information symbol is present, it leads me to believe the button is covered by the right side panel. On my setup, the recommendations I listed in the previous response uncovered the button, so I am interested to see the differences between our browsers.

  • Thanks Megan, I'll check with my customer if reset the zoom in the browser with CTRL+0 gets them the GENERATE PROGRAM button visible again in the browser version.
