Hello:

It seems that nowhere in the ds of UCC20225A is any mention of ratings of the VSSA pin which gets connected to the half-bridge node named SW.

Is it limited to "automotive " applications in 48V world? ie, 48V?

Or is it extended to 400V system as in charge etc?

Is there an HB up to 400v driver part in 5mm sq pkg?

Appreciate any clarification.

Hi,

The UCC20225A can be used in 400V systems and more. Since both channels of the gate driver are independent and isolated the VDDA-VSSA will float on top of whatever the SW voltage is and will not be a problem. Just keep in mind the maximum voltage across channels, across the isolation barrier, and the breakdown voltage through air of adjacent pins determined by the safety standards you are following.
