TPS63001: Regarding RC Time constant of TPS63001DRCR

Hi Ti Team,

From above application circuit if we increase the R3 value to 4.7K, does if effect the functionality of TPS63001?

If we use Resistor value 4.7K or higher, is there any issue with VINA (Supply voltage for control stage) operation?

What is the operating current and peak current consumption by the VINA pin and EN pin?

Hi Anji,

The total maximum current of R3 should be around 50uA. Where the current by VINA is 50uA and the EN is 0.1uA.

Here the 50uA is a DC value, there is some transient current at VINA. Please make sure VINA is stable enough.

If you want to increase RC time constant, i think it is better you can increase the value of capacitance.

Thanks for your Quick Response, could you please let us know the transient current at VINA with duration ?

Also, what is the safe value of capacitance we can put in RC circuit i.e., in place of C4 from application Schematic?

Hi Anji,

I did a try but failed because got DC values only with multimeter and big error with oscilloscope.

if you can increase value of C4, this is no limit, only depend on the RC time constant you need.
