TPS65381A-Q1: Recommended in using external FET in TPS65381-Q1

Part Number: TPS65381A-Q1

Dear Team,

The current design uses the BUK9213-30A as an external FET for the MCU core power supply (1.2V).

However, the part are discontinued and can't obtained.

We are currently check the JMSL0406AKQ(JieJie) parts. Can we use this part?

Can you help me propose an alternative external FET or a specific requirement for an available external FET?

Hi James,

The chosen external FET will need to fit the Vgs(th), Ciss, Qgate, and gfs values found in the datasheet for this regulator. I would recommend choosing an external FET that is as close as possible to the BUK9213-30A part.

IPD135N03LGATMA1 may be a suitable replacement but we have no test data with this component so I would recommend testing to ensure this is a good fit for your use case.
