Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61040
Can you please explain what is the difference between TPS61040AQDBVRQ1 and TPS61040QDBVRQ1?
Both parts seem to have the same data, but different top side marking. So, what is that A indicating?

Hi Lei,
thanks for that quick feedback regarding my question.
But I don't understand why TI is using a new part number and even a changed top side marking when the device is still the same.
We have that circuit already used in a series automotive product and need to explain that change to our customer. What can I tell them?
Hi Norbert,
Usually a "-A" device with different top side marking has something different with the originally device.
For TPS61040AQDBVRQ1 and TPS61040QDBVRQ1 the condition is a little special: the "A" is added because of some internal flow change.
Anyway, the materials and the guaranteed specs are all the same.
Regards
Lei
