Part Number: TPS71550
Hi,
Considering the below ckt.
Will LDO & the sensor work, as they are not wrt the real ground?
drv5056 is the sensor.
If yes, what should be taken care for the input capacitance of the LDO?

Prathmesh,
It is not clear to me how this is supposed to be working from this block diagram. How is the sensor powered? Is it powered through the NPN from the 12V? It looks like the sensor is just connected to the floating ground of the rest of the circuitry.

Nick
Hi,
Supply voltage to sensor is given by LDO. And sensor ground is wrt LDO ground.
Hi Prathmesh,
Thanks, I think I understand now.
I think this can work. In my understanding of this, the main concern will be that the voltage drop across the Rsense will need to be small enough that the headroom on the LDO is not pinched off.

Nick
Hi Nick,
Thank You.
What should be taken care for the input capacitance of the LDO?
For this configuration will it be fine to go with recommended input capacitance?
Hi Prathmesh,
From the perspective of the LDO, the recommended input capacitance is fine. I don't know about the other devices.

Nick
