BQ2980: Shutdown function of CTR-Pin not wokring

Part Number: BQ2980

I have trouble understanding the Host-controlled Shutdown function. I calculated the RC as mentioned in the Datasheet, to be above 3.6s, but even if I apply a voltage of 3.8V for longer than 10seconds, the battery protection will not shut down.

my Schematic:

I added another 1uF parallel to the 1uF, to double the Time.

Thank you for your help

  • t looks like the schematic was correct, and we managed to solve the problem successfully. We discovered that there was a faulty connection on the CTR Pin, which was preventing the 3V3 voltage from reaching it. After fixing this connection, the host controller shutdown is now working fine without any more issues.
