TIDM-SOLARUINV: ACHS-7194

Part Number: TIDM-SOLARUINV

I would like to ask for TIDM-SOLARUINV reference design, there are two different type of current sensor used.

One is shunt-based which is used at DC-DC converter side that interfaces to PV module and the other is Hall current sensor based

which is used at DC-AC inverter side that interfaces to grid. My question is why don't use shunt-based sensor at both places, why use

Hall based current sensor at grid side ? Shunt sensor has higher accuracy then Hall based type and the only disadvantage of shunt based type

is they shouldn't be used when the current sensed is very high. In this case the PV current is much higher than the grid current, so I don't

really understand the design rationale in the reference design. Can you please explain ?
