TPS62871-Q1: TPS6287x Buck 1/2 compensation/loop stability test issue

Part Number: TPS62871-Q1
Hello TI expert,
We are using TPS6287x for our VW eMid project.
We still want to know how to measure and validate the compensation/loop stability test.
(1) Could you please help to give us some documents to tell us how to verify the components parameters for the COMP?
(2) Shall we send our  ECUs to TI to help us to validate the compensation circuit?
(3) Could you please tell us that this compensation parameter can affect the output loop stability or not?
(4)Do you have some documents to tell us how to measure the loop stability of TPS6287x, especially for the stacked working mode?
Since there is no FB pin for TPS6287x, is there any special method/tool to measure the loop stability?
We don't want to use the WEBENCH to simulate the loop stability, we need to use an equipment to measure this loop stability.
For more details, please check the attached file.

Best Regards!

  • Hi Chonghui Liu,

Simple method is to check the BOM on the SIMPLIS simulation. It can help to analyze the system stability for operating condition.

I will check your schematic and give feedback. However, It would be great to have more details like the operating conditions, transient requirements and if possible the layout information for basic analysis. If information is confidential then I would sugget to share through email. I will send you my mail id.

Stability measurement set up would be similar for single device and stack device. You have to measure it across the primary device.

    Best regards,
