Hi Team,
May I have your help to suggest the proper spec. of inductor for customer LM76005 design.
The input is 48V and output is 24V/4.5A, switching freq. is around 400KHz.
As customer design now(not up to 4.5A output), the inductor temp. is 51 degree C in no loading attached.
and the output and PWM waveform.
If the loading is attached, the temp will be up to more than 80 degree C.
They need suggestions for the inductor selec for 4.5A design and the temp cannot too high while working.
Please help.
Thanks.
Hi Peter,
Please see the webench design: https://webench.ti.com/appinfo/webench/scripts/SDP.cgi?ID=04848EBBB6AAD452
Feel free to further modify the parameters based on your requirements.
Regards,
Rahil
Dear Rahil,
As the design, the temp set to 80 degree that is not what I mean.
The 80 degree is the temp of the inductor that works with loading attached!
My customer thinks the temp is high and wants to lower it and asking for the inductor suggestion.
what kind of inductor parameters they can choose to meet their target.
Sorry to make you confuse and please help with it.
Thanks.
Hi Peter,
Choosing an inductor with lower DCR would help. For example: https://www.coilcraft.com/en-us/products/power/shielded-inductors/molded-inductor/xal/xal7070/xal7070-103/
