BQ2050: SHA-1 Authentication

Hello,

I have two questions:

1.Since BQ2050 has SHA-1 authentication, what is the recommended way to set this up?

2. What is the recommended way of programming Bq2050? Are BQ studio files suitable for production? Can we get golden image file from an MSPM0 that is on board?

bq2050 is an old device that is not supported by bqStudio.

Where did you see the reference to SHA-1 authentication?

Hello JDJ,

1. I believe that the golden image contains the authentication key on bq4050. I would recommend that you write the authentication key, verify it, take a golden image and program to another chip and check.

2. You can read the golden image out using the firmware tab of bqStudio. TI does not provide productions tools, so you will need to use a 3rd party
