LM5022-Q1: Off line controller for SEPIC converter

Thanks for using the e2e forum.

For this application I would recommend the LM5156 device.
This part is same cost as LM5022 but a newer part with improved features and better availability.

Please note that the maximum input voltage of this device is 60V, so it is not possible to directly connect the supply to the BIAS pin for the full input range.

I have given same specs in WEBENCH^® POWER DESIGNER . 

It is showing that the same controller (LM5156) can not be used more than 100W. Screenshot of the same is given below

If I use resistors to limit the input voltage less than 60V, Can I use this IC for 100W applications.

Hi Umamaheswararao,

There is no output power limitation within the LM5156 datasheet, so the device itself can be used for higher power applications of 100W+.
However, please note that there can be higher losses in a SEPIC topology, which can come with larger thermal stress and lower efficiency.

Yes, the device cannot support input voltages above 60V. You need to limit the IC supply voltage below that limit.
