TPS55340-Q1: TPS55340-Q1 PSpice model throwing this error : " Trouble parsing initial condition value for V(n006) "

Part Number: TPS55340-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS55340

Hi,

While simulating the PSpice model of TPS55340-Q1, the simulation is throwing this error " Trouble parsing initial condition value for node V(n006) ". This node is actually the SS port of TPS55340-Q1 to which the Css capacitor is connected. Someone please recommend a fix for the error associated with this PSpice model of TPS5534-Q1. Please consider this query ASAP.

  • Hi Naveen,

Thanks for using the e2e forum.

Are you simulating a start-up, or should the simulation start directly in steady-state with charged output voltage?
You can apply initial conditions to caps and inductors in PSpice, so they already have a charge or current at the beginning of the simulation.
I sounds like there is an initial condition on the SS cap, that causes trouble to the simulation.

Can you try removing all initial conditions and check if the simulation runs?
Additionally, can you check if the same error occurs with the default testbench, that comes with the TPS55340 files? There should be no errors in the default setup, so if this error occurs here as well, it might be a problem with the simulator itself.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Niklas
