TPS61288: Larger inductor than4=TPS61288

Hi,

The datasheet of the TPS61288 recommends up to 4.7uH, but the Web Bench suggests going to 10uH. Is it a problem going to 10uH?

    Hi Ahmad,

    The two of inductance are theoretically all ok. Usually, we prefer a ripple ratio of 20% to 40% to optimize the inductor.

    Webench is a reference design but not the optimized design.

    A large inductance is hard to choose and not necessary.

    In your application, choosing 2.2uH or 3.3uH is enough.

    Please refer to the calculation tool of the device.
