TPS92520-Q1: limp home

Part Number: TPS92520-Q1

Hello expert,

There are two channel in the device.  In normal mode we want CH1=1A,CH2=0.5A; when SPI lost, we hope both of them are OFF.

So do we need to configure the limp-home related register of this device, and enable the watch dog?

  • Hello Zhiyuan,

That is correct.  You can setup LH1EN and LH2EN bits to 0 then channels will be disabled when they go into limp home mode after communications is lost on SPI bus.  Make sure the PC bit has been cleared, or else it will go into standalone mode instead.
