Got other frequnce ( beside the 1Hz /H/L )at the STAT pin when the BQ25616JEVM at the charger mode .

Can you please provide a waveform showing voltage at VBUS test point, voltage at BAT test point, and STAT?

Hi Rence,

What you are observing is different than the STAT pin blinking at 1hz to indicate a fault condition.

For the without battery case the STAT pin is behaving as expected. It is repeatedly transitioning between indicating charge in progress and charge complete. This is occurring in a short amount of time because there is no battery connected, but the BQ25616J still charges the BAT pin output capacitor as if it is a really small battery.

Hi Rence,

The behavior is not described in detail the datasheet because having charge enabled with no battery attached is not a recommended use case. The STAT signal is switching between its 2 standard states 'charge in progress' and 'charge complete' mentioned in the pin functions description.

The FAQ linked below describes the behavior in more detail. BQ25616J is not mentioned, but the STAT pin architecture is the same.
