TPS62172-Q1: Output voltage Ripple (Glitch)

Part Number: TPS62172-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62172

Hi team,

My customer faced an output voltage ripple problem during using TPS62172. The schematic is given following.

They found a high-frequency ripple/glitch at the output voltage. It is around 60mV. The glitch/ringing occurs at each switching action.

And here gives the schematic they designed, the inductor is 8.2uH, the capacitor is 100uF+100nF+10uF.

They have tried to add a series resistor connected with the inductor. The first-stage choice is 6.8Ohm.

After adding this resistor, the output voltage ripple/glitch is decreased to around 30mV.

Thus, the questions I want to ask is:

1. Why our TPS62172 has a ripple/glitch like this?

2. Is this kind of adding resistor reasonable? Do you have any other recommendations that can relieve this phenomenon?
