My customer has a question regarding the LM4050 (5V Zener Shunt) reverse current transient rating. The abs max information in the datasheet specifies 20 mA reverse current rating, but can the part exceed this for short transient durations without damage? We have an application in which we will see up to about 23 mA for 2 ms. Can you advise if this may damage or degrade the part?
