TPS68470: WLED boost used as a voltage boost

Part Number: TPS68470

HI there,

Can you mention all the steps need to run the WLED boost as a voltage boost (DRV_WLEDx not connected in SCH)

-------Here is what we have:

BOOSTDIV set for 2Mhz Boost Switching Operation

Vmode to 1

VWLEDVAL register set to Vout value needed

Boost current limit is selectable from register VWLEDILIM with 4-bits. But the default should be 2A.

ENABLE bit to a '1' in the VWLEDCTL

So programming this way, gets the Boost working but not regulating. It hits the OVP.

It looks like this problem is solved by disabling LED1 and LED2 in the WLEDCTL register. Why would these have an impact when boost is selected to vmode?

Is this the correct approach for using the Vboost? Anything missed?

Thanks!
