Hi,

Our device is failing the Pulse 2a test with Us=+112V, TVS diode across the input is SMCJE15AH.

The e-Fuse is Output Voltage is 0V but IC is not damaged physically nor short circuited.

I wanted to know whether this Part has passed ISO 7637-2 , ISO7637-3 and ISO 16750-2.

Please let me know if it has passed the above tests and the reports

Hi Kiran,

We have not evaluated this part for such transients. Also for these transients to pass we need high voltage device like LM76202-Q1. Please have a look at LM76202-Q1.

Can we use A TVS diode with clamping voltage of 18V for protection against the +112V Pulse. Since the max Input Voltage of the chip is 18V and Diode will clamp the transient to 18V.

What do you think?

Since this part is automotive qualified, doesn't it mean that it should also pass all the ISO transient test.

How can we interpret the Automotive qualification in this case. Please let us know

Hi Kiran,

Auto qual means passing AEC-Q100 and does not mean it will pass ISO transient test.

You can use TVS to clamp below 18V.
