TPS7H1101A-SP: Hardware and PSPICE Modeling Validation for Conditional Stability for Feedback Systems

Part Number: TPS7H1101A-SP

Hello,

Gain and Phase response from hardware does not match PSPICE model or TINA model sourced from TI's website. Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) is required for the project using this part. Hardware/Model verification is required prior to using SPICE sims for WCCA (e.g. EVA, Monte Carlo, etc...). I was hoping to get more insight on this discrepancy.

Thank you,

George

  • Hi George,

Can you confirm which of the PSpice model(s) you are using? The TINA model is simply a translated version of the nominal PSpice model, so its behavior should be essentially the same minus any minor differences caused by the sim settings or simulator itself.

If you're not already using it, the WCA model should be the model used for any frequency response simulations as it was developed for that purpose.

If you're already using it and still seeing a discrepancy, could you please share your project files as well as any schematics, test results, or summaries you have from the hardware side so I can see what you're seeing?

    Thanks,

    Sarah

  • Hi Sarah,

Is it possible to make my question private (only for me and TI to see) or removed? I feel like I've been getting massive amount spam emails recently.

    Thanks,

    George

  • Hi George,

You listed your email at the bottom of your original post so that may be where all of the spam has been getting your contact info from. I have removed your email from the post so it is no longer visible publicly online. That should help.

    Thanks,

    Sarah
