Hi,

Could you please advise what configuration is suggested to implement the Battery remote sense for BQ25306?

VIN 9-17V

BAT=2S1P Li-Ion

VBAT_max=8.4V

Ich=2.5A

The battery pack is connected to a 1-meter cable, which has a typical impedance of 50-70 mΩ for both the B+ and B- wires.

However, the specifications do not provide any information on how to implement the pack remote sensing.

Can you please advise which option would be preferable to implementing the battery remote sense?

Can we compensate for the voltage drop on the B-wire with a remote pack connection with BQ25306?

Hi Ning,

Thanks for the update, but I expect to get a clear answer about what and how BQ26306 can support.
The specification appears to be silent on the matter of remote sensing. Would it be possible to better understand how the IC can potentially support such functionality before proceeding with an evaluation?
Can you please review this item with the internal team and let me know your advice?

Option 2 should be better. The BAT pin description on the d/s says:

Battery voltage sensing input. Connect this pin to the positive terminal of the battery pack and the node of inductor output terminal. 10-µF capacitor is recommended to connect to this pin.
