BQ24610: schematics check

Part Number: BQ24610

Hi team,

customer design BQ24610 without using BATDRV (left floating), should they also float ACDRV and use a diode rather than MOS to anti-reverse from adapter to system? Could you give some comments for below design? Thanks!

Rayna

  • Hi Rayna,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Please see the simplified non powerpath schematic in the checklist below.

    1. BATDRV can be left floating to disable the power path option (i.e. no system load). I see that your design currently has a VBUS rail implying system load?

    2. The FETs at the adapter input can be removed if back-to-back protection is not needed. You may replace with a diode for reverse voltage/current protection, in which ACDRV should be left floating.

Please let me know if you have additional questions/concerns.
